Who knew bacon could be so fun! Seriously, I couldn’t pass this party up when my friend, Kristin, asked me to help her with her daughter’s 1st birthday party. She wanted to go with bacon as the theme…because little Louise LOVES bacon. It was perfect. Basically she told me she wanted to do bacon, but didn’t want Louise to look back at her first birthday and hate her for it. Ha! So we decided to go with a dainty farmer’s market feel. I must thank Vera Chenault for photographing the party. Some of these are my photos, but most of them are hers. She did a fabulous job! So here we go…
We snatched this adorable little farmhouse from the kids toys inside. It made a fabulous centerpiece.
We decided to keep all the food bacon-inspired. I can’t even remember what all there was…but everything had bacon in it, on it or somewhere. (except maybe the strawberries. ha). Kristin made most of the food and it was so delicious, healthy and just looked amazing.
We used farmhouse style paper throughout the party. I used this adorable cherry print to make her a birthday banner that they could keep and use again.
I brought over my kid’s lemonade stand and it was a hit! All the kids played with it the whole time.
And who doesn’t love this record player…
Umm…chocolate covered bacon.
The birthday girl snacking on some bacon!
Her little dress was handmade by a friend…and matched perfectly.
I showed Kristin how to make these simple little banners and they made such a difference.
I made this simple little pig banner to tie in with the rest of the banners.
Camille was busy all day serving her friends at her stand.
Chubby baby hands are the cutest!
I may have “borrowed” these from the neighbor’s bush…but they were hanging over in Kristin’s driveway…and clearly we needed them more.
They have the most lovely shaded area out back that was perfect for this small little party for family and friends. We pulled together their tables and chairs from all over the house. I brought over my vintage sheets, plates, jars, whatever I could find, and it was perfect!
Even the concrete pig dressed up.
